ความต่างหลักๆ คือ VMware fusion 13 จะสามารถรองรับการติดตั้งบน รุ่นชิป Apple Silicon แบบเต็มรูปแบบ ทำให้ผู้ใช้ Mac รุ่นชิป Apple Silicon (ชิป M1, M2) สามารถใช้ VMware เพื่อติดตั้ง Windows 11 ได้ (Arm) ต่างจากรุ่น VMware fusion 12 ที่รองรับได้เเต่ Chip ฝั่ง Intel ได้เท่านั้น โดยรุ่นโปรนั้นจะเพิ่มฟังชั่นต่างๆปรับเเต่งได้ละเอียดขึ้น สามารถใช้งานระบบ Nas เข้ารหัสล๊อกระบบ VM ได้ ใช้ Vsphere ,Sandboxed Experience เเละ Create full clone เป็นต้น
